Colombo (News 1st) – Google users were stunned to see the already volatile Sri Lankan rupee fall to 236.81 to the US dollar this afternoon. This rate remained for some time and caused much excitement and fear among those who saw it.
It isn’t yet clear what happened, but the rate was later changed by Google to the correct level of 329.00.
Google has not yet explained how the wrong rate was uploaded.
