PUCSL Chairman rejects reasons for termination

COLOMBO (News 1st); Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Janaka Ratnayake said that he would respond to the Finance Minister on Tuesday (28) over the reasons provided to remove him from the post of PUCSL Chairman.

Ratnayake said that he categorically rejects all reasons that have been provided to remove him from the post.

"I received the document citing reasons for my removal by the Finance Minister. Five charges has been filed against me, and these are baseless," he told News 1st.

According to Ratnayake, he is charged with representing the public, and going to court seeking relief for the public, and criticizing Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, who is the subject minister.
