Thunder showers expected today (27)

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast predicting showers or thundershowers in various parts of Sri Lanka. 

The Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts, are expected to experience showers or thundershowers during the afternoon or night.

Meanwhile, the North Central, Uva, and North-Western provinces, as well as the Mannar district, may witness showers or thundershowers during the afternoon or night as well. 

The Department advises the public to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
