Colombo (News 1st) – Inspector General of Police C. D. Wickremaratne was granted a 3-month service extension through an order issued by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

C. D. Wickramaratne was to retire from the post of Inspector General of Police on the 23rd of March, 2023.

He commenced duties as the 35th Inspector General of Police of Sri Lanka on November 27, 2020.
