Wasantha and 61 others released on bail

COLOMBO (News 1st); Convener of the Inter-University Students' Federation Wasantha Mudalige and sixty-one others who were arrested and remanded for allegedly trespassing into the Education Ministry were released on bail.
They were produced to the Kaduwela Chief Magistrate on Monday (27) and were released on personal bail of Rs. 100,000/- each.
They were arrested after they entered the Education Ministry premises demanding that the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka be reopened immediately.
