BOI grants Approval Letter to Adani Group for Wind Power Projects

The Board of Investment on Wednesday (22) handed over the Letter of Approval to Adani Group for two wind energy projects in Punarin and Mannar.

The investment for the two wind energy projects is USD 442 Million, said State Minister of Investment Promotion Dilum Amunugama.

The projects are expected to generate around 350 MW of electricity, while generating around 1000 employments opportunities.

The project is to be completed within two years of signing a contact with the BOI after the agreement for power purchasing with the Ceylon Electricity Board is signed.
