Armed gang steals ATM with cash from private bank in Gampola

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An armed gang have stolen an ATM that was set up at a private bank in the Gampola Town.

Sri Lanka Police said that the armed gang had arrived in a van, threatened the security office of the bank, tied him up and taken the time to remove the entire ATM from its platform.

The exact amount of money stolen by the thieves is yet to be determined, and a special police investigation is underway.
