Former Paris St Germain midfielder and Olympic Gold medalist Modeste M'Bami dies

Colombo (News 1st) - Former Paris Saint Germain and Cameroon soccer midfielder Modeste M'Bami, who won an Olympic Gold medal with Cameroon, has died at the age of 40 of a heart attack, the Paris Saint Germain club announced.

M'Bami is a legend in Cameroonian football as he scored a 'Golden Goal' in extra time over a highly favoured Brazilian team in the quarter-final of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Cameroon went on to beat Spain in the final and win the Gold medal.

M'Bami also won two Coupes de France with Paris Saint Germain in 2004 and 2006, playing three seasons for the famed Paris club.
