Lenient prison policy for elderly and terminally ill - Justice Minister

Colombo (News 1st) - Steps are being taken to adopt a more lenient policy towards the elderly and terminally ill prison inmates.

The data required to adopt the policy is currently being gathered, said Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.

Several Sub-Committees have been appointed for this purpose as well.
