Presidential Task Force on toxic and dangerous drugs

COLOMBO (News 1st) – A Presidential Task Force will be appointed to prevent the use of toxic and dangerous drugs.

This was announced by the President's Media Division on Tuesday (20) following a meeting chaired by Justice Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, and President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake.

This Presidential Task Force will bring together all agencies involved in drug prevention and will introduce a program to battle the use of toxic and dangerous drugs in the country.

At the meeting, special attention was drawn towards the fact that drugs were promoted among school students, and it was decided that immediate action should be taken to prevent it.
