COLOMBO (News 1st) - USA defeated Iran 1-0 in their Group B fixture of the FIFA World Cup 2022. 

With this win, USA and England have sealed a spot in the Round of 16 stages.

Christian Pulisic's first-half strike was enough for USA to hand Iran a 1-0 defeat and book their Round of 16 berths as the group runners-up.
