COLOMBO (News 1st) - Goals from Boulaye Dia, Famara Diedhiou, Cheikh Dieng allowed Senegal to dominate hosts Qatar in a 3-1 win in Doha.'
Boulaye Dia slotted in the opening goal of the match, pouncing on the opportunity as Qatar's defence made a rare mistake to put Senegal 1-0 up minutes before half-time.
Famara Diedhiou made it 2-0 for Senegal just minutes into the second-half.
Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy also made a couple of world class saves before super-sub Mohammad Muntari pulled one back for Qatar with an exquisite header.
Cheikh Dieng then scored to make it 3-1 for Senegal.
Qatar, however, did well for the most part of the half in keeping their slate clear.
