Turkish KATIP scholarship for Sri Lankan academic

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Dr  Zameer Careem, a Sri Lankan academic was awarded KATIP scholarship by the Office of the Presidency For Turks Abroad And Related Communities.

Dr Zameer visited the Turkish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Demet Şekercioğlu prior to leaving Sri Lanka.

Dr  Careem's research will make valuable contributions to academic studies on Sri Lanka - Turkey relations, said the Turkish Embassy in Colombo.

The KATİP program is a program designed for foreign public officials, diplomats, academics and researchers who wish to learn Turkish and get to know Türkiye better.

Announcements and applications for the KATİP Program are made through the Turkish Embassies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the relevant countries.
