MPs want insurance increased

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A decision has been reached to increase the insurance policy of Members of Parliament from Rs. 200,000/- to Rs. 1 Million.

Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said the decision was reached by the Parliament House Committee.

The proposal will be produced to the Cabinet soon.
