Matara shooting: SI remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The police sub-inspector who was arrested on suspicion of shooting a 15-year old boy in Matara, Thihagoda was remanded until 2nd November.

He was remanded after he was presented to the Matara Magistrate Isuru Netthicumara on Saturday (29).

The 15-year-old teeanger who was injured is currently receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of Karapitiya Hospital.

A hospital spokesperson said that the boy also underwent surgery last night.
