One dead, one injured in Ahungalle shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) - One person has been killed and another injured following a shooting incident in Ahungalla Bogahapitiya area last night (23).

Police said the victims were traveling in a three-wheeler at the time when they were shot.

The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old male.

The injured person has been hospitalised.

Police stated that investigations have been initiated in this regard, and it has been revealed that a 12-bore firearm was used. 

Police added that no further information regarding the suspects has come to light.
