Power cuts extended from 23rd Sept.

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) approved the Ceylon Electricity Boards' (CEB) request for power cuts of 2 hours & 20 minutes from 23rd to 25th September as follows:

Groups ABCDEFGHIJKLPQRSTUVW:

1 hour during daytime 
1 hour and 20 minutes during the night

Approval for extended power cuts was granted after considering the unavailability of old Laxapana Stage 1, lack of fuel availability at Westcoast, and due to sudden increase in demand.
