Scores of public servants fly overseas for work on no-pay circular

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Around three hundred Public Sector employees have traveled overseas for employment after the government of Sri Lanka issued a circular granting five-year no-pay leave for public officers to be spent in or out of the country, without affecting their seniority and pension.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, and Provincial Councils said that among those who left the country are employees attached to Ministries, Departments, as well as Statutory Bodies.
