President appoints five acting Ministers

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Several ministries which were under the purview of President Ranil Wickremesinghe have been assigned to five acting Ministers.

The relevant ministries have been reassigned for the period during which the President will remain away from the island for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Accordingly, Pramita Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as Acting Minister of Defense, Ranjith Siambalapitiya as Acting Minister of Finance, and Geeta Kumarasinghe as Acting Minister of Women and Children Affairs.

Moreover, Kanaka Herath will  function as the Acting Minister of Technology while Dilum Amunugama will be functioning as the Acting Minister of Investment Promotion.
