Champions of Asia felicitated by President

COLOMBO (News 1st); The President's Media Division states that each netball player of the victorious Sri Lankan team had received Rs. 2 million by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Moreover, the PMD stated that athletes who won the silver medals at the Commonwealth games will be awarded Rs. 10 million, bronze medalist Rs. 5 million and the coaches will be awarded 25% from the national sports fund.

Moreover, Sri Lanka Cricket had also handed over a cheque of USD 500,000 to the President as a donation towards the Apeksha hospital.

All the above donations took place at the felicitation ceremony organized for the Champions of Asia in cricket, netball and athletes at commonwealth games, at the Cinnamon Lakeside hotel under the patronage of the President.
