COLOMBO (News 1st); The victorious Asian Champions, Sri Lanka's Netball and Cricket Teams returned to Sri Lanka on Tuesday (13) morning, and they were escorted to Colombo in a celebratory vehicle parade.

Sports fans in their numbers were seen lined up on either side of the Colombo - Katunayake Road to cheer on their heroes.

Six-Time Asian Netball Champions - the Sri Lanka Netball team led by Gayanjali Amarawansa returned to Sri Lanka on Tuesday (13) morning.

They were welcomed by State Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Rohana Dissanayake, Officials from the Sports Ministry, and members of the National Netball Federation of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan lasses retained the Asian Netball crown when they defeated host Singapore 63-53 in their Asian Netball championship final played in Singapore on Sunday (11).

The Six-Time Asia Cup Champions Sri Lanka also returned to the country early on Tuesday (13) morning.

Sri Lankan were crowned Asia Cup Champions after a wait of eight long years, and they were welcomed by Sri Lanka Cricket, and the Sports Minister.
