Three Indians arrested with Rs. 18mn gold

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three Indian Nationals have been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport by customs officials along with an illegal stock of gold worth Rs. 18 million.

Customs stated that they found 1,200 grams of gold in the possession of the three suspects.

The suspects had attempted to smuggle the stock of gold through the Green Channel without informing the customs.

The arrested suspects were identified as those aged between 38 and 28 years, and Customs officials have already initiated investigations in this regard.
