Illegally hoarded 470 L of Petrol seized

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested three suspects who transported petrol without licenses in Puttalam and Horana areas.

The Police said 470 L of petrol was found in their possession.

The police said that the suspects were arrested based on information received that they transporting fuel using a lorry and a three-wheeler.

The relevant suspects are in age 38, 19, and 25 - residents of Madurankuliya, Iddagoda, and Bandaragama areas.

Further, the suspects are to be produced to the Puttalam and Horana Magistrate Courts, the Police noted.
