Polish man arrested with Rs. 245 Mn worth Cocaine by Customs

COLOMBO (News 1st); A polish national was arrested by the officers attached to Narcotics Control Unit Of Sri Lanka Customs with 5kg of Cocaine concealed in his baggage. 

This passenger arrived from Colombia on 14.08.2022 onboard flight QR 662 via Doha. 

This narcotics substance was concealed in fax paper rolls used in fax machines. 

Total value of the substance was estimated as Rs. 245 million. 

The Suspect and the narcotics were handed over to Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation .
