Two arrested with nearly 2,000l diesel

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects were arrested in Kekirawa and Pudukuduirippu areas for illegally stockpiling diesel without a licence.

Police said that they found nearly 2,000 liters of diesel in their possession.

The suspects were identified as residents of Godawela and Kiranamadu areas, aged 32 and 42.

They have been released on police bail and will be produced before the courts in the respective jurisdictions, Police stated.
