COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Transport Board says that all buses transporting school children, including sisu seriya buses, will be running according to the scheduled times.
The SLTB mentioned that 741 student buses will be put into use for the very same purpose, and stated that the buses will cover all areas where transportation is needed, without any hindrance.
Meanwhile, Ceylon Private Bus Owners' Association says that between 90% to 95% number of buses will be put into operation from Monday (15).
Its Chairman, Gemunu Wijeratne mentioned that a sufficient number of buses will be used for the transportation of school children.
However, the president of the All Ceylon School Van Association, Malshree Silva stated that necessary fuel has not been provided for van operations.
