School on all five days next week

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education has decided to conduct activities of all Government and Government approved schools on all five days of the week from upcoming Monday (15).

The decision was reached during a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Education Minister Susil Premajayantha on Saturday (13).

The Ministry of Education stated that within the next three months, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities should be restricted to outside school hours and events held in schools should be minimized as well.

Provincial authorities have been instructed to prepare a suitable transport program for the principals, teachers and students in areas with transportation difficulties, and in addition, have been notified to inform principals with regard to providing relief for teachers who have transportation difficulties.
