100,000 MT of Urea for Maha Season

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Agriculture has taken steps to import 100,000 MT of Urea fertilizer for the Maha Season cultivations. 

The Chairman of the Commercial Fertilizer Company Methsiri Wijegunawardena said the consignment of urea fertilizer will reach Sri Lanka in the first week of October. 

800,000 hectares of paddy land will be cultivated during the Maha season this year, which begins on the 15th of September.
