COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s youngest medallist at the Commonwealth Games Nethmi Ahinsa returned to the Island this (8) morning.
Eighteen-year-old Nethmi Ahinsa who became Sri Lanka’s youngest medallist at the Commonwealth Games was welcomed at the VIP Terminal at the Bandaranaike International Terminal this morning.
Nethmi's parents, and sports ministry officials among others were present to welcome her.
Eighteen-year-old Nethmi Ahinsa beat Australia’s Irene Symeonidis in the 57kg weight class to win a bronze medal in wrestling in Birmingham.
Incidentally, the medal was the first and only in Wrestling for Sri Lanka at the Commonwealth Games this year.
