Stabbing inside police station leaves one dead

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 52-year-old man was killed in a stabbing incident inside the Navagamuwa Police Station.

The police said that the incident took place when a complaint was being investigated.

Two men who had an affair with a woman, identifieed as resident of Ranale, were called to the Police station to investigate a related complaint.

At that time, one person had stabbed the other man and killed him.

The deceased was identified as a 52-year-old resident of Karawanella area.

The 42-year-old suspect is currently in police custody.
