COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (25) issued an order preventing the Convenor of the Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige, Lahiru Weerasekera, Trade Union Leader Joseph Stalin, Eranga Gunasekera, Rev. Fr. Jeewantha Peiris, and another from traveling overseas.

The order was made citing an incident where they are alleged to have been members of an unlawful assembly opposite the Police HQ recently, and caused damaged to Public Property.

The order was made by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage after considering a request made by the Colombo Crimes Division.

The CCD informed court that investigations are underway against the six individuals for causing damaging to public property during an unlawful assembly opposite the Police HQ in Colombo.
