Rainfall for Western Province today (20)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that a cloudy sky is expected in the southern half of the island.

Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.

Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected in some places.

Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times in Galle and Matara districts.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
