COLOMBO (News 1st); The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association says that due to the fuel shortage private bus services have been disrupted.
The Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association Gemunu Wijeratne said that the fuel distribution for Private Passenger Transport Buses is not being done in a streamline manner, thus affecting the entire industry.
He said a special discussion took place with authorities on Tuesday (19) with regard to obtaining fuel for Private Passenger Transport Buses.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) announced that more than 3,600 buses have been put into operation today (20).
Also, Sri Lanka Railways said that trains are being operated as usual today (20).
