COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police says that it has been observed that various posts are being published on social media networks threatening parliamentarians.
The Police Spokesperson’s Office said that as per the instructions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Police Headquarters will be monitoring people who publish such posts and the people who prepare, distribute and circulate them.
The Police Spokesman’s Office said that the Police Headquarters has already given instructions to the Computer Crimes Investigation Division, which operates under the Deputy Inspector General of the Criminal Investigation Department, to enforce the law against such persons.
