1.5 mn construction workers unemployed

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Builders Association of Sri Lanka says that construction operations has been completely affected by the on going crisis.

Its Chairman, M. D. Paul stated that nearly 1.5 people employed in the construction sector have been fored out of their jobs.

While building material prices such as the price of sand and cement increases every day, the current situation is such that it had become impossible to engage in construction work, he added.
