One who delivers, must be Prez

COLOMBO (News 1st); SLPP MP Geetha Kumarasinghe says that if a person can give fuel, gas and food to the people of Sri Lanka, that person should become the President.

Speaking to media, MP Kumarasinghe expressed surprise at the SLPP General Secretary Sagala Kariyawasam's statement of the party supporting Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and added that within the next two days, Parliamentarians should listen to the requests of the people.

"If anyone can quickly give people gasoline, gas, and food, I think he should be the president of this country," she said.

The MP refused to comment when inquired about the former President.
