Rs. 550 Mn worth heroin seized; Mother, Son duo arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); A mother and a son duo have been arrested by the Embilipitiya Police for possessing 38 Kg of heroin worth over Rs.550 Kg.

The Police say that the stock of heroin was hidden in a house in Embilipitiya which was obtained on a rental basis.

Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Talduwa said that a 46-year-old mother and her 22-year-old son have been arrested and further investigations are being conducted.
