COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has signed the Book of Condolences at the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka, expressing his condolences on the death of the former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.
The Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government and Leader of the House of Parliament, Dinesh Gunawardena too, signed the book of condolences placed at the Japanese Embassy.
Moreover, the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government declared July 12th as a day of national mourning in Sri Lanka as a mark of respect for the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who was assassinated.
The former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was shot dead on 08th July while delivering a speech in Nara, Japan.
