Health Ministry preventing workers from joining protests

COLOMBO (News 1st); The President of the Association of Health Professionals, Ravi Kumudesh alleges that the Ministry of Health is attempting to sabotage the wave of protests planned for 9th July,

He said the Health Authorities are attempting to prevent health workers from joining the protest, by suspending the provision of fuel for health workers from filling stations, which was assigned for Fridays.

The Ministry of Health took steps yesterday (07), to suspend the distribution of fuel for health workers from filling stations for 48 hours.

Kumudesh, speaking to the media stated that health workers will join the protest wave planned on the 9th, despite the efforts of the Health Ministry.
