COLOMBO (News 1st); The period for receipt of complaints has been extended for the Presidential Commission appointed to compensate those whose property was damaged due to the recent violence which occurred in several areas, including Colpetty.
The Government Information Department stated that complaints can be submitted until 22nd July.
President Rajapaksa previously appointed this commission to present recommendations for compensation to the people whose properties were damaged due to the acts of violence which occurred in several parts of the island from March 31st to May 15th. .
The period for submitting complaints was due to end tomorrow.
