COPE wants Audit on Litro Purchases

COLOMBO (News 1st); The COPE Committee advised the Auditor-General to direct an investigation, on whether any irregularities have occurred in the purchase of gas.

The Chairman of the COPE Professor Charitha Herath made the direction last night when the Chairman of Litro and the company's top management, as well as the former chairman were summoned to COPE.

In the meantime, the COPE Committee questioned the Chairman of Litro Muditha Peiris regarding many issues including gas purchases.
