School holidays for a week

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education has decided that all Government and Government approved private schools to be granted holidays from 4th to 8th July 2022.

The decision has been taken following a discussion among officials of the Ministry of Education, Provincial Education Secretaries and Provincial Education Directors, after reviewing the progress of the visits of school principals, teachers and students in the last two weeks and in consideration of the distribution of fuel in the Ministry of Power and Energy.

The Ministry of Education added that any school time lost during this week will be covered in the next school holiday term.
