Postal Chief urged TUs to call off strike

COLOMBO (News 1st); Post Master General Ranjith Ariyaratne has requested postal workers to end their trade union action and report for work.

However, due to the fuel crisis, the postal service is currently operating only three days a week.

Accordingly, all post offices and sub-post offices will be open only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Although it was planned to open for three days, many post offices remain inactive for several days.
