COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's power-hitter in Women's Cricket Chamari Athapaththu smashed an unbeaten innings of 80 to guide Sri Lanka to a comfortable seven wicket win in the Third T20I against India Women in Dmabulla on Monday (27).

Batting first India Women posted 138/5 in their 20 overs with Jemimah Rodrigues leading with 33 runs, while Smriti Mandhana & Sabbhineni Meghana contributed with 22 runs each.

Sugandika Kumari, Ama Kanchana, Oshadi Ranasinghe, and Inoka Ranaweera picked up a wicket each for Sri Lanka Women.

Chasing 139 to win Sri Lanka Women go off to a slow start losing Vishmi Gunaratne early for five.

Harshitha Samarawickrama fell next for 13.

However, Captain Chamari Athapaththu and Nilakshi De Silva pushed the Sri Lanka team past 100, until the fall of the latter for 30 runs.

Captain Chamari Athapaththu tucked away a Radha Yadav delivery on the leg side behind the wicket for four securing the win in the 17th Over.

It's the first time Sri Lanka Women have beaten India at home in a T20I.

It's a 2-1 series win for India Women who won the first two games of the series.
