Family of four injured in fire

COLOMBO (News 1st); Four members of the same family were hospitalized following a fire that broke out in a room of a house in Dolekade, Kahathuduwa.

Police stated that the mother, father and two daughters were injured in the incident.

Among the injured was a four-year-old girl, who was admitted to Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital, while the others who were injured have been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and the Government Analyst is to be called in for further analysis.
