Two gas shipments in early July, says Litro

COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro gas informed that two vessels carrying 7,000 MT of gas are scheduled to reach the country between the 5th and 12th of July 2022.

Litro Chairman Muditha Peiris said that a large-sized tanker carrying 25,000 of gas is scheduled to reach the Maldivian seas by the 10th of July.

The plan is to have the large vessel pump gas into much smaller vessel and ship them to Sri Lanka, he added noting that the initial payments for the vessels that departed Oman have already been made.

In addition, he said that with the arrival of these shipments, it will be possible to issue a sufficient number of domestic gas cylinders to meet the gas requirements of the country.
