COLOMBO (News 1st); The Indian State of Tamil Nadu dispatched the second consignment of relief materials to the Sri Lankan people affected by an economic crisis.
The Tamil Nadu government has promised a total aid worth Rs 123 crore, including 40,000 tonnes of rice, life-saving medicines, and 500 tonnes of milk powder.
The second shipment contains 14,702 metric tons of rice, 250 tons of milk powder, and 38 tons of medicine.
A ship carrying 15,000 metric tonnes of essential commodities, worth Rs 67.70 crore (Indian), left Tuticorin port on Wednesday.
