SJB & JVP boycott Parliament session, as mark of protest against government

COLOMBO (News 1st); The opposition in the Sri Lankan Parliament led by the Samagi Jana Balavegaya have decided to boycott Parliament sessions for one week.

Opposition Leader and Leader of the Samagi Jana Balavegaya Sajith Premadasa told Parliament that the Samagi Jana Alliance had decided to boycott Parliament session for a week, a mark of protest against the government, and its actions against the people.

Leader of the National People's Power Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the Parliament has become a place where the voice of the people is no longer represented.

He said therefore, the NPP MPs will also boycott Parliament sessions for a week.
