10-acre land from Muthurajawela for LNG plant

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Board of Directors of the Land Development Corporation has approved the transfer of 10 acres of land adjacent to the Yugadanavi Power Station at Muthurajawela to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for the construction of a 300-watt LNG Power Plant.

The Board of Directors of the Electricity Board has also approved the purchase of the land.

Accordingly, the cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to recover the value of the land assessed by the Government Assessor and dispose of the same to the CEB.
