Police officer takes his own life in Tangalle

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Police Sergeant attached to the security detail of the Tangalle DIG Office had reportedly committed suicide using the firearm issued to him.

Sri Lanka Police said the deceased was 45-years-old, and has taken his life at around 12 noon.
